Infant 3/5/13

03 May 2013

Dear Parents,

Well at last the sunshine is shining and it’s great to see all the children outside enjoying the lovely weather.

We have been glad to welcome the Ofsted team to Holy Trinity this week. As you probably know, the new Ofsted framework sets a higher bar and judgements for many schools have been tougher than before. Discussions have focused on areas the school has already identified as priorities and despite evident progress, we recognise that there is further to go. The results of the inspection are confidential at this stage but the report will be available in about two weeks.

As you can imagine it has been very busy at the Junior school over the past couple of days so we’d just like to say thank you for all your responses to the Ofsted questionnaires and wishes of support. The children have been fantastic.

Enjoy the long weekend
With best wishes, Richard

Summer Fair
Don't forget to put Sunday 9 June in your diaries - the Summer Fair.
Here's early notice that we will be asking for donations of jolly jars and bottles for the bottle tombola to be brought into school on Monday 20 May. So please start collecting those empty jars to fill. If you're new to jolly jars, you can find out how to put one together on our website page.
We are still looking for sponsorship for the bouncy castle. Please let Emily Bourke ( know if you know of anyone who might be able to help us with this.

Playground Ice Lolly Sales
Next Friday is our first playground ice lolly sale of the term. Please bring a few pennies to buy a lolly if you would like to treat your child after school. Let's hope we have better weather this summer than last year!

In the summer term, we give you a rest from baking and sell ice lollies in the playground rather than cakes. The ice lolly sale dates for this term (and classes running the sale) are below. Your class reps will contact you about your class' sale. Please help them if you can!
